The core responsibilities of this role include: Dispatching drivers for scheduled and STAT medication deliveries, coordinating route releases, processing and scanning controlled substance manifests, ensuring drivers are properly prepared and compliant with vendor requirements, supporting pharmacy operations through administrative tasks, monitoring time-sensitive deliveries, and providing proactive solutions to operational challenges in a fast-paced healthcare logistics environment. This position supports daily pharmacy operations through route management, driver coordination, shipment tracking, documentation processing, and customer service. The Dispatcher serves as a key communication link between drivers, pharmacy personnel, and customers, ensuring all deliveries are executed accurately and within required service levels. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, is highly organized, and can proactively resolve logistical challenges while maintaining exceptional customer service standards. Key Responsibilities Include: Coordinating daily driver dispatch activities, including early morning route releases and route assignments. Ensuring drivers arrive on time, are properly prepared for their routes, and comply with customer and vendor appearance requirements. Monitoring route execution and proactively addressing delivery delays or operational issues. Managing urgent STAT medication deliveries and ensuring time-sensitive orders are assigned and completed promptly. Reviewing and processing controlled substance manifests and verifying required documentation before route release. Scanning and maintaining records of controlled medication documentation in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Supporting pharmacy operations through administrative tasks, document management, and system updates.
