Scrap Yard Warehouse & Material Handler – Easton

Overview Join our team as a Warehouse & Metal Recycling Material Handler ! This is a hands-on position responsible for identifying, sorting, processing, moving, and organizing scrap metals and materials . We are looking for a dependable, hardworking person who is safety-conscious, willing to learn, and comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse and outdoor environment. Pay & Schedule Starting pay: $20/hour Monday–Friday: 7:00 AM–4:30 PM Saturday: 7:00 AM–12:00 PM Rotating Saturdays Responsibilities Identify and classify incoming scrap materials by metal type, grade, size, color, condition, and other characteristics. Identify and separate ferrous and non-ferrous metals , including steel, stainless steel, copper, brass, aluminum, insulated wire, bare wire ext. Recognize and separate mixed materials, attachments, contamination, and other items that may affect material classification or value. Receive, unload, sort, process, and organize scrap metals and materials. Properly label and place materials in the correct bins, containers, storage areas, or processing locations. Load, unload, and safely move materials throughout the facility. Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment after training. Assist with balers, wire strippers, saws, shears, torches, and plasma cutters as authorized. Prepare materials for processing and shipment. Assist with customer traffic, receiving, shipping, and general warehouse duties. Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe. Follow all company safety procedures and required PPE requirements. Requirements Reliable and dependable attendance. Valid driver's license. Able to follow written and verbal instructions. Basic math skills. Strong attention to detail when identifying and sorting materials. Willingness to learn different metal types, grades, and classifications. Able to work independently and as part of a team. Previous warehouse, recycling, construction, manufacturing, or material-handling experience is a plus. Physical Requirements Able to lift and move materials up to 75 lbs. Able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work with your hands for extended periods. Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in changing weather. Able to safely work around machinery, vehicles, and scrap materials. Why Join Us?
