Scheduler & Production Expeditor

Alva Manufacturing is a fast-growing Aerospace Machine Shop located in city of Placentia currently supplying parts to Boeing Defense, Northrop Grumman, Lockheed Martin, and many more. We utilize the latest technologies including 5-Axis Milling, Multi-Axis Turning, and Automated-Pallet Changing/Lights-out Production systems, CMM Inspection equipment. The organization is expanding to multiple locations within Orange County, as well as building the R&D team to develop our own Robotics system. Description: The Scheduler & Production Expeditor shall have strong knowledge in CNC machining process and planning/scheduling process. The Production Expeditor shall have strong project management and technical communication skills to communicate with the internal departments and outside vendors. Responsibilities : Review of drawings, job planning data to understand the manufacturing processes. Review internal production capacity to plan schedule for CNC machining stations. Communicate with internal department head including tool crib, purchasing, manufacturing, and quality in order to obtain project schedule and help solve any technical problems, and assure the manufacturing process will meet customer's required date. Be a focal point of contact for any project schedule and technical issues on Machine Shop floor. Able to generate and manage revenue forecast based on backlog and technical challenges. Qualifications : 3 years of minimum experience or more in related position Education: high school minimum, NO Bachelor degree in engineering is required as long as the candidate is able to demonstrate sufficient technical knowledge required Complete understanding of machining operations as well as secondary manufacturing processes. Strong communication skills Familiar with Aerospace industry and AS9100 requirements. Strong understanding of ANSY Y14.5 and GD&T engineering drawings. Must be able to work independently, but also demonstrate an ability to work productively within the department team. Strong trouble-shooting skills and the ability to think critically.
