Scale House Operator

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Scale Operator for our Metal Recycling Company to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately weighing and recording the weight of incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations, including shipping and receiving processes, as well as proficiency in basic math skills. Benefits and pay based on experience. Responsibilities Operate and maintain scale equipment to ensure accurate measurements of products. Record weight data for incoming and outgoing shipments in accordance with company procedures. Assist with shipping and receiving tasks, including loading and unloading materials using a pallet jack. Support order fulfillment by picking orders accurately and efficiently. Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure smooth operations and timely processing of shipments. Utilize ScrapDragon system for inventory management and tracking purposes. Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency. Requirements Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred, particularly in shipping and receiving roles. Strong basic math skills for accurate weight calculations. Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely and effectively. Excellent attention to detail to ensure accuracy in weighing and recording data. A proactive approach to problem-solving within a fast-paced environment. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
