Job Title: SAP PTM (Plan to Manufacture) / SAP PP Functional Consultant Duration: 6–12 Months Contract Work Arrangement: Remote with Travel Travel: Up to 50% within North America – Expenses Paid by client Job Description: We are seeking an experienced SAP PP / PTM Functional Consultant with strong SAP S/4HANA experience to support and optimize manufacturing and aftermarket service operations. The consultant will focus primarily on SAP Production Planning (PP) within a discrete manufacturing environment, with hands-on experience in SAP PM/MRO, service and repair processes highly preferred. The ideal candidate will have experience working in Engineer-to-Order (ETO) and Make-to-Order (MTO) manufacturing environments and be comfortable working closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, and Service teams. Key Responsibilities: Configure and support SAP S/4HANA PP processes in a discrete manufacturing environment. Support Plan to Manufacture (PTM) processes, including production planning, scheduling, execution, and shop-floor operations. Analyze and optimize ETO and MTO manufacturing processes . Configure and support production master data, including: Material Master BOMs Routings Work Centers Production Versions Support production orders, confirmations, capacity planning, MRP, and shop-floor execution. Support SAP PM/MRO and aftermarket service/repair processes , including: Service Orders Equipment Masters Notifications Refurbishment Orders Repair/MRO processes Gather and document business requirements from Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, and Service teams. Translate business requirements into SAP solutions and functional specifications. Support SAP S/4HANA implementations, rollouts, upgrades, integrations, and enhancements. Develop test scenarios and execute unit, integration, and UAT testing. Provide post-go-live support, troubleshoot production issues, and implement enhancements. Develop process documentation, work instructions, and training materials. Support integration with SAP MM, QM, PM, EWM, MES, PLM, and other manufacturing systems. Participate in global project teams using Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies. Work with business and technical teams to drive continuous improvement across manufacturing and service operations. Required Qualifications: 15+ years of SAP experience , with strong emphasis on SAP PP. Strong hands-on SAP S/4HANA PP configuration experience. Experience with SAP Plan to Manufacture (PTM) processes. Hands-on experience supporting discrete manufacturing environments. Strong experience with ETO and/or MTO manufacturing . Strong knowledge of: BOMs Routings Work Centers Production Versions Production Orders MRP Capacity Planning Shop-Floor Execution Hands-on experience with SAP PM/MRO , including Service Orders, Equipment Masters, Notifications, and Refurbishment. Experience with aftermarket service, repair, or refurbishment processes. Strong business requirements gathering and functional solution design experience. Experience with SAP S/4HANA implementations, upgrades, rollouts, and production support. Strong testing, documentation, and training experience. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Supply Chain, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in industrial equipment, pumps, valves, seals, rotating equipment, oil & gas, or flow-control manufacturing . SAP S/4HANA implementation experience. SAP QM experience. Experience integrating SAP with MES, PLM, EWM, or shop-floor technologies . Experience in regulated or ISO-driven manufacturing environments. Experience with global SAP implementations and rollouts. Familiarity with aftermarket service and repair operations. SAP Activate, Agile, or Waterfall project experience.
