Reqroute, IncSAP GTS Consultant – Cloud-Based Location: US Remote Travel: May require occasional travel to Mexico City as needed Job Description We are seeking an experienced SAP GTS Consultant with strong expertise in SAP Global Trade Services (SAP GTS), edition for SAP HANA , to support the design and functional implementation of cloud-based global trade compliance solutions. The consultant will work closely with business stakeholders to translate global trade, customs, and regulatory requirements into scalable, compliant, and automated business processes for cross-border trade operations. Key Responsibilities Lead business stakeholders through the design and functional implementation of SAP GTS for SAP HANA . Conduct Fit-to-Standard workshops and translate business requirements into scalable SAP GTS solutions. Design end-to-end trade compliance processes across Order-to-Cash (O2C) and Procure-to-Pay (P2P) . Configure SAP GTS objects, including: Legal regulations Control classes Business partners Document types Sanctioned Party List (SPL) screening License procedures Determination strategies Design and support processes for: Sanctioned Party Screening Embargo and Legal Control License Determination and Usage Product Classification HS/HTS Classification Export Control Classification Preference Determination Import/Export Customs Management Ensure seamless integration with SAP S/4HANA SD/MM, EWM, TM , and external customs brokers/content providers. Define and execute testing strategies covering Unit Testing, SIT, and UAT . Support data migration activities involving: Business Partners / Ship-To data Product classifications Trade licenses Preference data Develop functional specifications and support configuration, testing, deployment, and production stabilization. Support end-user training and user enablement for SAP GTS processes. Implement controls that support auditability, regulatory compliance, electronic recordkeeping, electronic archives, and dual-use controls . Identify opportunities to automate trade compliance processes and reduce operational and regulatory risk. Collaborate with business, functional, technical, and integration teams throughout the implementation lifecycle. Required Skills Strong hands-on experience with SAP GTS / SAP GTS for SAP HANA . Experience in Global Trade Compliance and Customs Management . Strong knowledge of SPL screening, embargo/legal control, license determination, product classification, preference determination, and customs processes . Experience conducting Fit-to-Standard workshops . Strong understanding of O2C and P2P business processes . Experience integrating SAP GTS with S/4HANA SD/MM, EWM and TM . Experience working with external customs brokers and trade content providers. Strong experience with Unit Testing, SIT and UAT . Experience with SAP GTS data migration and master data. Strong stakeholder communication and business process design skills. Understanding of trade compliance controls, auditability, recordkeeping, and dual-use regulations. Preferred Experience Experience with cloud-based SAP GTS implementations. Experience with large-scale global SAP transformation programs. Experience supporting multinational import/export operations. Experience with automated trade compliance and risk-reduction initiatives. Strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
