Title: SAP EWM Consultant Location: Remote USA, Travel: Possible (25%) Industry: Government Type: 12 Month initial Contract, possibility of extension Rate: negotiable/hr Corp Citizenship Requirement: U.S. Citizenship Required Role Summary Seeking an EWM Consultant to manage detailed design, configuration, and support end-to-end warehouse and inventory process definition for a large-scale Aerospace & Defense Customer. Key Responsibilities •Warehouse Process & Solution Design: Analyze current warehouse, inventory, and materials handling processes (receiving, put-away, picking, packing, shipping, etc.) and map them to SAP EWM. Lead AS-IS / TO-BE process design for warehouses to support A&D production/Sustainment process. •SAP EWM Configuration & Integration: Perform functional configuration in SAP EWM (warehouse structure, putaway/picking strategies, HU management, ASRS/MFS). Design and support integration between EWM and MM, SD, PP, gTS, EHS, and transportation/logistics execution (LE/TM). •Project & Implementation Support: Gather business requirements and translate them into functional designs. Author functional specifications for enhancements, RF flows, interfaces, and custom reports, collaborating with ABAP and technical teams. •Testing, Cutover & Production Support: Define and execute test scenarios for inbound, outbound, and internal warehouse scenarios. Support data conversion and cutover for EWM/IM (on-hand inventory, warehouse master data). Provide ongoing support for EWM defect resolution. •Governance, Compliance & A&D Controls: Ensure warehouse processes comply with A&D regulations, including ITAR/EAR export controls and controlled material handling. Support audit and compliance activities by providing process documentation and transaction traceability. •Stakeholder Collaboration & Training: Act as the primary IT point of contact for warehouse operations, logistics, and production. Facilitate workshops and prepare user documentation and training materials. Required Qualifications •Citizenship & Industry Experience: U.S. Citizenship required due to access to defense-controlled information. Experience working in an Aerospace & Defense or highly regulated manufacturing/logistics environment preferred. •SAP & Functional Experience: Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA EWM, including configuration of inbound, outbound, and internal processes. Strong understanding of inventory management, HU management, RF concepts, and integration with MM/SD/PP. Experience supporting full-cycle implementations. •IT Business Analyst Skills: Experience gathering requirements, process mapping, authoring functional specs, test planning, and managing defects. Ability to work with ABAP developers to design and validate customized solutions. Preferred Qualifications • Experience integrating EWM with Transportation Management (TM) / Logistics Execution (LE), gTS, EHS, and production operations including MRO Operations. • Working knowledge of RF programming concepts and customizing RF screens. • Experience in manufacturing warehouses with complex staging to production. • Familiarity with Agile delivery methodology and/or Scaled Agile Framework for large enterprises. • Additional process expertise considerations: • Expertise in setting up inbound processes, Integration with Ariba, Cognitus and Core S/4 MM. • Expertise in setting up outbound processes, Integration with GTS/SD and QI • Expertise in setting up Picking/Kitting/Stagging for Production • Expertise in EWM/aTM or MMS integration, XPS integration • Expertise in PPF/Labels/Forms • Experience with 3PL • Experience with Vertical Lift Management (VLM) / A Fast Interview and decision, client is ready to go!
