Sample Coordinator

SAMPLE COORDINATOR Consolidated Shoe Company is a premier footwear importer and distributor based in Lynchburg, VA. We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented, and motivated Sample Coordinator to join our team. This on-site position manages the entire lifecycle of our footwear samples, acting as the vital link between international factories, our internal technical teams, and external sales representatives. This role offers an exceptional opportunity for upward growth within Consolidated Shoe Company, providing deep exposure to footwear logistics, product development, and sales operations. Responsibilities - Inbound & Outbound Logistics: Record tracking numbers and audit sample shipments arriving from international factories and departing to sales reps or customers. - Data & Report Management: Track, update, and maintain comprehensive sample schedule reports to keep cross-functional teams aligned on delivery timelines. - Digital Record Keeping: Electronically maintain detailed records of all samples distributed to the sales field. - SKU Identification: Create and apply physical identification labels for product samples to ensure accurate SKU tracking before shipment. - Inventory & Archive Management: Manage the return of canceled or discontinued samples. Match returned singles into pairs and archive them systematically by season, style, and color in designated warehouse bins. - Technical Team Collaboration: Distribute fit and confirmation samples directly to the technical department for quality and design review. - Compliance Filing: Partner with the technical department to compile and file continuation reports for each style and color, organized by vendor. Basic Qualifications - Education: High school diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred. - Experience: 1–2 years of experience in warehouse logistics, inventory control, data entry, or retail operations preferred. Willing to train the right candidate. - Technical Skills: Proficiency with spreadsheets (Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets) and data entry systems. - Organization: Strong organizational skills with a focus on inventory systems and physical asset tracking. - Physical Requirements: Ability to work on-site daily in our Lynchburg facility, stand for extended periods, and lift sample boxes up to 30 lbs.
