Sales Representative - IBP Outdoor Living

Company: IBP Outdoor Living Position: Sales Representative Compensation: 600 weekly allowance + commission per project sold POSITION OVERVIEW IBP Outdoor Living is looking for a motivated and experienced Sales Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in construction sales, home improvement, landscaping, outdoor living, pool, or hardscaping , with a strong ability to sell residential construction projects from the initial customer consultation through the closing process. Experience specifically in hardscaping and outdoor living projects is highly preferred. This position is focused on generating and closing sales for projects such as paver installations, travertine, pool decks, patios, driveways, outdoor living areas, walls, walkways, and other residential hardscape projects. COMPENSATION $600 weekly allowance Commission paid per project sold/closed Earnings have the potential to increase based on sales volume and successfully closed projects. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Previous experience in sales , preferably within construction or a related industry. Proven ability to sell residential construction or improvement projects . Strong communication, negotiation, and closing skills. Fluent English is required , both verbal and written. Must have a reliable personal vehicle and a valid driver's license. Must be comfortable traveling to customer properties and project locations. Ability to conduct professional sales consultations with homeowners. Ability to understand customer needs, identify project opportunities, and present appropriate solutions. Self-motivated, organized, proactive, and results-oriented. Comfortable working independently while coordinating with operations and production teams. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE Preference will be given to candidates with experience in one or more of the following areas: Hardscaping Pavers Travertine Pool decks Patios Driveways Landscaping Outdoor living Pool construction Residential construction Remodeling Home improvement Exterior renovations Direct experience selling hardscape or outdoor living projects is a strong advantage. LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS - English – REQUIRED The candidate must be comfortable communicating professionally in English with homeowners, contractors, suppliers, and internal team members. The candidate must be able to: Conduct sales presentations in English. Discuss project scope and customer needs. Explain proposals and pricing. Negotiate with customers. Follow up with leads and customers. Communicate by phone, email, and text. Coordinate effectively with the operations and production teams. Spanish – PREFERRED Spanish-speaking ability is a strong plus and will be considered an important advantage, particularly because of communication with field crews, customers, and different members of the construction team. Portuguese is an additional plus but is not required. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Respond to and follow up with leads and potential customers. Generate new sales opportunities. Conduct customer consultations and site visits. Understand customer needs, project goals, and budget expectations. Identify opportunities for hardscaping and outdoor living projects. Present IBP Outdoor Living's products and services. Prepare, present, and follow up on proposals. Maintain consistent communication with prospects throughout the sales process. Negotiate project details and pricing within company guidelines. Close residential construction projects. Maintain accurate records of leads, opportunities, proposals, and sales. Build long-term relationships with customers. Identify opportunities for additional services or upgrades when appropriate. Coordinate with the estimating, operations, purchasing, and production teams to ensure a smooth transition from sale to production .
