The Sales Operations Analyst plays a key support role within the Sales organization, responsible for pricing governance, trade program validation, sales analytics, and commercial process discipline. This role provides Sales leadership with accurate, actionable insights while protecting margin integrity and ensuring adherence to established pricing and trade standards.

This position partners closely with Sales Leadership, Finance, Customer Service, and IT, but does not perform accounting or transactional finance execution.


SCHEDULE:  Monday – Friday, 7:30 am – 4:30 pm

Occasionally, additional hours may be required to complete tasks and/or projects.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:


Pricing & Trade Spend Governance:

· Maintain centralized visibility and governance of customer pricing, trade agreements, and commercial programs to ensure alignment with approved terms and margin objectives.

· Validate billbacks, deductions, and trade claims against approved agreements prior to Finance posting credits.

· Proactively identify pricing discrepancies, expired programs, unauthorized deductions, and sources of margin leakage, and escalate for resolution.

· Support trade spend tracking and assist Sales Leadership with program effectiveness and ROI analysis.

· Provide documentation and validation support to Finance for issue resolution (no posting or payment execution).


Sales Operations & Commercial Analytics:

· Compile and analyze sales forecasts versus actuals, including variance analysis by customer, distributor, and product.

· Produce recurring and ad hoc sales reports related to volume, pricing compliance, and margin exposure for Sales Leadership review.

· Support pipeline visibility and forecast accuracy for Sales Leadership.

· Validate distributor and broker data for accuracy and alignment with internal expectations.

· Assist with preparation of sales presentations, summaries, and leadership reporting.


CRM Reporting, Data Discipline & Commercial Visibility:

· Support the CRM platform as a critical commercial visibility tool by ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and disciplined usage aligned with Sales Operations standards.

· Develop and maintain CRM-based dashboards and reports supporting pipeline visibility, pricing transparency, trade program awareness, and forecast accuracy.

· Reinforce data discipline by monitoring completeness and quality of CRM inputs, identifying gaps, and supporting corrective action.

· Reduce reliance on manual reporting by strengthening CRM-driven insights and alignment with ERP data, in partnership with IT.


CRM Adoption, Enablement & Process Reinforcement:

· Support CRM adoption across the Sales organization by reinforcing defined usage standards, workflows, and reporting expectations.

· Assist with user training, onboarding, and ongoing reinforcement to ensure CRM usage supports forecast accuracy, pricing discipline, and leadership visibility.

· Document and maintain CRM-related SOPs and process guidance in alignment with Sales Operations and commercial governance objectives.

· Act as a functional liaison between Sales users and IT, translating business needs into clearly defined reporting or enhancement requests.


Cross-Functional Coordination & Process Discipline:

· Partner with Sales, Customer Service, Finance, and IT to ensure accurate and timely flow of commercial data.

· Support order-to-cash visibility by validating pricing and program alignment (without executing order processing).

· Assist with broker and distributor alignment by ensuring clarity of pricing programs and reporting expectations.

· Help define, document, and maintain SOPs related to pricing, trade programs, and sales reporting to ensure consistency and clarity.

· Manage and maintain customer-facing product data within Syndigo (GDSN Data Pool), ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant product information is published in coordination with Sales, Customer Service, and Operations. 

· Perform other related duties in support of Sales Operations, commercial governance, cross-functional coordination, and analytical support, as assigned.


Success Metrics:

· Reduction in unauthorized deductions and pricing discrepancies

· Improved accuracy and timeliness of trade claim validation

· Improved forecast accuracy and reporting reliability

· Increased margin protection and trade spend visibility

· Positive feedback from Sales Leadership on analytical and operational support

Requirements

  

· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Analytics, or a related field preferred.

· 3–7 years of experience in Sales Operations, Pricing, Trade Management, Sales Support, or Commercial Analytics.

· Strong working knowledge of pricing structures, trade programs, and margin mechanics.

· Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis).

· Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.

· Professional written and verbal communication skills.

· Ability to work cross-functionally across Sales, Finance, Customer Service, and IT while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

· Experience working with ERP and reporting tools preferred.

· Experience with CRM and digital data management tools preferred. 

· Ability to sit and work at a computer terminal for extended periods, with occasional standing or walking as required.
