Role Overview

Kunes Auto Group, the fastest growing dealership in the Midwest, is seeking an operations-driven Sales Lot Manager to oversee vehicle inventory control and lot operations across the dealership. This leadership role is ideal for a candidate with strong operational discipline, process ownership experience, and the ability to manage daily execution while maintaining inventory accuracy and presentation standards.


This position plays a critical role in protecting dealership assets, ensuring operational consistency, and supporting sales performance through disciplined lot and inventory management.


Key Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end vehicle inventory control, ensuring accuracy across physical inventory and digital systems
  • Establish and enforce lot organization standards that support sales efficiency and brand presentation
  • Conduct routine inventory audits; investigate and resolve discrepancies proactively
  • Coordinate vehicle movement between departments, locations, and vendors
  • Maintain operational alignment between sales, service, and administrative teams
  • Oversee lot safety, compliance, and security procedures
  • Ensure vehicles meet appearance and readiness standards at all times
  • Track operational issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions
  • Lead by example through hands-on involvement and accountability
  • Support process improvements and operational initiatives as assigned
Requirements

Leadership & Professional Qualifications

  • 3+ years prior leadership or supervisory experience in operations, logistics, inventory, or automotive environments
  • Demonstrated ability to manage processes, priorities, and daily execution
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, performance-driven environments
  • Proficient with computer systems, digital inventory tools, and documentation
  • Effective communicator with the ability to work cross-functionally

Required Credentials

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to operate both manual and automatic transmission vehicles
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and perform job-related physical tasks

Compensation

  • $24.00 – $27.00 per hour, based on experience
