Sales/Delivery Driver

Job Summary Eastern Equipment & Supply is looking for a qualified, hardworking individual to work with our customers. As a Sales/Delivery Driver, you’ll combine customer service, sales, and dependable delivery to help customers find and receive the products they need. You’ll transport merchandise safely and build positive customer relationships through clear, professional communication. This role may involve loading and unloading products, including heavy items, using safe lifting practices. In addition to deliveries, must be willing to train & gain product knowledge, repair and build hydraulic hoses and cylinders, as well as to restock shelves & find products for customers. To be successful as a sales associate, you are encouraged to stay up-to-date with product features & are required to help maintain our store’s visual appearance in high standards. Ultimately, the duties of a sales associate are to achieve excellent customer service and work with the Eastern Equipment & Supply team to maintain a positive, professional business environment. Duties Transport merchandise using appropriate vehicles; follow applicable Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and safe driving practices. Load, unload, and handle products safely, including during automobile transportation. Assist customers with product questions, pricing, and purchases; use sales and upselling skills to support their needs. Build customer relationships through responsive service and clear client communication. Support merchandising and retail store operations, process POS (point of sale) purchases, and keep delivery and sales tasks organized. Your impact: Safe, timely deliveries and helpful service make it easier for customers to receive the products they need. Assist in creating a positive, professional & safe work environment; “Go the extra mile” to assist customers & maintain a clean, organized store. Assist with inventory receiving & stocking and other duties as deemed necessary by supervisor/manager. Skills Required: Valid qualifications for the assigned vehicle and a safe driving record; commercial driving or commercial truck driving experience is preferred. Required: Customer service, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to build customer relationships. Required: Basic math skills for pricing and transactions; broader math skills are a plus. Preferred: Sales, upselling, route driving, merchandising, or retail store experience. Ability to lift and move heavy items safely; knowledge of safe lifting practices is preferred.
