Sales Associate Epic XP LLC | St. Louis, Missouri Job Summary As a Sales Associate at Epic XP, you will play an essential role in creating a welcoming, knowledgeable, and engaging shopping experience for our customers. You will assist customers with trading card games, collectibles, sealed products, and gaming accessories while supporting daily retail operations. This position combines customer service, retail sales, inventory management, cash handling, and community engagement. You will help customers discover products, complete purchases and trades, and participate in the growing trading card game community. Be Epic!” Responsibilities Customer Service & Sales Welcome customers and provide friendly, professional, and knowledgeable assistance. Help customers locate products, understand pricing, and explore available trading card games and collectibles. Maintain familiarity with Pokémon, One Piece, Riftbound, Gundam, and other trading card games carried by Epic XP. Recommend products based on customer interests, preferences, and budgets. Process purchases, returns, and exchanges according to company policies. Build positive relationships with regular customers and new visitors. Point-of-Sale & Cash Management Accurately process cash, credit card, and other approved payment transactions. Operate Shopify POS and other company-approved retail systems. Maintain accurate cash drawer balances and follow established cash-handling procedures. Verify product pricing, discounts, and transaction details before completing sales. Report cash discrepancies, transaction errors, or suspicious activity to management. Protect customer payment information and maintain transaction confidentiality. Trading Card Buy-Ins & Inventory Assist customers with selling or trading trading cards, sealed products, and collectibles. Evaluate card conditions and verify market prices using approved pricing resources. Follow established company buy-in percentages and approval procedures. Accurately document purchases, trades, and inventory adjustments. Organize, price, label, and restock merchandise. Assist with inventory counts and maintain accurate product records. Identify potentially counterfeit, altered, or damaged products and refer concerns to management. Store Operations & Organization Maintain clean, organized, and visually appealing sales floors, display cases, and gaming areas. Assist with opening and closing procedures as assigned. Restock shelves, organize inventory, and prepare products for display. Support online order fulfillment, packaging, and shipping when assigned. Follow company procedures for merchandise security, loss prevention, and inventory control. Complete assigned daily duties efficiently and accurately. Community Engagement & Events Promote upcoming tournaments, prereleases, leagues, and other Epic XP events. Assist with player registration, event setup, and tournament operations. Help maintain a welcoming, respectful, and inclusive gaming environment. Communicate event information, store promotions, and product releases accurately. Support a positive customer experience during busy events and product launches. Skills & Qualifications Required Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills. Basic math skills and ability to accurately process financial transactions. Attention to detail when handling cash, inventory, and customer purchases. Ability to learn and operate point-of-sale and inventory management systems. Dependability, punctuality, and ability to follow company policies. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with team members. Strong organizational skills and willingness to complete assigned tasks.
