Safety Manager in Trucking company
GFS Group LLCWhat You'll Do Lead our safety and compliance program and make sure we meet FMCSA and DOT requirements Manage driver qualification files and vehicle maintenance and inspection records Monitor HOS and ELD compliance and follow up on violations Track CSA scores and work to improve them Run the Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse queries and our testing program Investigate accidents and incidents, complete reports, and put corrective actions in place Use telematics and camera tools (such as Samsara, Motive, or Lytx) to coach drivers and reduce risk Run safety onboarding, orientation, and ongoing training for drivers Prepare for DOT audits and handle inspections and roadside issues Work closely with dispatch, operations, maintenance, and HR What We're Looking For 3+ years of safety or compliance experience in trucking (OTR experience preferred) Strong working knowledge of FMCSA, DOT, CSA, and HOS regulations Experience with ELD and telematics platforms Clear communicator who can coach drivers and talk safety with leadership Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable making firm decisions Bachelor's degree is a plus, but experience matters most Benefits: Relocation assistance Work Location: In person
