Safety Manager – Commercial Trucking & Intermodal Drayage (Fleet Safety Leader)

Based in El Paso, TX, Lone Wolf Trucking Inc. is a trusted commercial transport and intermodal drayage carrier connecting rail ramps and logistics terminals across the region. We value operational excellence, driver accountability, and maintain a high standard of safety across every truck and route. Key Responsibilities Compliance & Regulations: Maintain 100% compliance with FMCSA, DOT, and state safety regulations, managing driver qualification files (DQFs), clearinghouse records, and Hours of Service (HOS) logs. Driver Onboarding & Training: Conduct driver orientation, safety sign-ins, defensive driving instruction, equipment inspection training, and trailer coupling/parking protocols. Drug & Alcohol Program Management: Enforce company drug and alcohol policies, maintain testing schedules, and oversee compliance documentation. Fleet Management & Technology: Utilize ELD platforms (Samsara) to monitor driver safety scores, speed/safety alerts, HOS compliance, and short-haul exemption tracking. Incident & Claims Management: Lead thorough accident investigations, root-cause analyses, OSHA reporting, and injury/claim management. Safety Audits & Meetings: Organize and execute monthly driver safety meetings, pre-shift safety briefings, and internal safety audits. Qualifications & Requirements Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of dedicated Fleet Safety / Compliance experience in commercial trucking or intermodal drayage. Regulatory Knowledge: Deep expertise in FMCSA, DOT, ELD rules, HOS regulations, and hazmat/drayage safety standards. Technology Proficiency: Hands-on experience with fleet management systems (e.g., Samsara) and standard office software. Communication: Strong bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills written and verbal. Leadership: Firm, fair, and proactive leadership style with a passion for driver safety and mentorship.
