Fast Track ExpressJob Overview We are seeking an experienced, highly responsible, and detail-oriented Warehouse Safety & Compliance Officer to oversee workplace safety, regulatory compliance, risk prevention, and operational safety standards across our warehouse and logistics operations. Our company operates in the logistics, freight forwarding, transportation, and warehousing industry. We are looking for a qualified professional who can independently monitor warehouse activities, identify unsafe practices, enforce safety regulations, conduct inspections, investigate incidents, and ensure that the company maintains a safe and compliant working environment. The ideal candidate must possess extensive knowledge of OSHA regulations, warehouse safety procedures, forklift operations, loading dock safety, fire prevention, and applicable transportation safety requirements. This is a hands-on position requiring regular inspections of warehouse facilities, equipment, employees, and operational processes. The Safety & Compliance Officer will work closely with warehouse management while maintaining the authority to identify and escalate safety violations directly to senior management. Key ResponsibilitiesWarehouse Safety & OSHA Compliance Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive workplace health and safety policies. Ensure compliance with applicable Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations and workplace safety standards. Conduct daily warehouse safety walkthroughs and routine compliance inspections. Identify unsafe working conditions, hazardous practices, and potential workplace risks. Monitor employee adherence to established safety procedures and company policies. Ensure employees properly use required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Inspect warehouse aisles, storage racks, shelving systems, loading docks, emergency exits, and pedestrian walkways. Ensure safe stacking, storage, and handling of freight, pallets, and warehouse materials. Monitor housekeeping, spill prevention, and general warehouse cleanliness. Recommend and implement corrective actions to eliminate safety hazards. Forklift, Equipment & Material Handling Safety Oversee safety compliance for forklifts, pallet jacks, reach trucks, and other material-handling equipment. Verify that forklift operators receive required training, evaluation, and authorization. Ensure equipment inspections and preventive maintenance procedures are followed. Monitor proper forklift operation, load capacities, pedestrian safety, and traffic management. Inspect loading and unloading procedures involving trucks, trailers, containers, and dock equipment. Ensure proper use of dock plates, trailer restraints, wheel chocks, and related safety devices as applicable. Identify damaged equipment and coordinate its removal from service until safe operation is restored. Establish procedures to minimize equipment-related injuries, property damage, and operational incidents. Safety Audits, Inspections & Risk Management Conduct periodic internal safety audits and documented warehouse inspections. Identify violations of OSHA requirements, company procedures, and other applicable safety standards. Perform workplace hazard assessments and recommend practical corrective measures. Maintain inspection reports, safety checklists, incident logs, and corrective-action records. Track safety violations and ensure corrective actions are completed within established deadlines. Monitor workplace injury trends, near misses, property damage, and recurring operational hazards. Evaluate operational risks and develop preventive safety programs. Prepare facilities for regulatory inspections and coordinate responses to safety-related findings. Work with management to reduce workplace accidents, employee injuries, and preventable financial losses.
