Duties Safely operate various delivery vehicles, including box trucks, vans, and personal vehicles for delivery routes. Load and unload packages using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks. Drive designated routes adhering strictly to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) safety standards. Deliver parcels directly to customers’ doorsteps, ensuring accurate and complete deliveries while providing friendly customer service. Manage route driving efficiently by planning optimal paths and maintaining accurate delivery logs on mobile devices. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and perform safe lifting practices during package handling to prevent injuries. Maintain warehouse operations by organizing cargo, managing inventory, and supporting loading/unloading processes when necessary. Skills Proven experience in delivery driving, courier services, or warehouse operations with a focus on manual handling and heavy lifting. Strong knowledge of commercial driving, including box truck operation, van driving, and manual transmission vehicles. Familiarity with material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and moving tools for efficient load management. Excellent adherence to traffic regulations, DOT guidelines, and safe lifting practices to ensure safety at all times. Customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients during deliveries. Experience operating mobile devices for route navigation and delivery documentation.
