Rural Carrier Associate

Job Overview The Rural Carrier Associate plays a vital role in ensuring the efficient delivery of mail and packages to rural areas. This position requires a dedicated individual who can handle various tasks related to route driving and customer service. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, particularly with manual transmission vehicles, and have the ability to manage heavy lifting and loading/unloading of mail. Duties Drive your personal vehicle along designated rural routes to deliver mail and packages. Load and unload mail from the vehicle, ensuring proper handling of all items. Provide excellent customer service by interacting positively with customers during deliveries. Maintain accurate records of deliveries and pickups as required. Perform routine inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance. Handle heavy lifting as necessary when loading or unloading mail. Follow all safety protocols while driving and delivering mail. Requirements Previous experience in warehouse operations or commercial driving is preferred. Ability to drive a manual transmission vehicle is essential. Strong route driving skills with knowledge of local areas is advantageous. Excellent customer service skills to interact effectively with clients. Capability to perform heavy lifting, moving, and physical tasks associated with loading/unloading mail. A valid driver’s license is required, with a clean driving record preferred. Must be able to work independently and manage time effectively while on the route.
