Rural Carrier Associate

Duties Safely operate various delivery vehicles such as box trucks, vans, or personal vehicles to complete daily routes. Load and unload packages using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment like pallet jacks or hand trucks. Drive route-specific delivery schedules adhering strictly to traffic regulations and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Deliver packages directly to customers’ doorsteps, ensuring accurate and secure hand-offs while maintaining excellent customer service. Use mobile devices for route navigation, package scanning, and delivery confirmations. Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety standards are met. Follow safe lifting practices when handling heavy or bulky items, ensuring proper weight handling in the workplace. Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and incident reports as required. Skills Proven experience in delivery driving, courier services, or warehouse operations with a focus on manual handling and moving heavy loads. Strong knowledge of commercial driving including box truck operation, van driving, or personal vehicle delivery with adherence to traffic laws. Familiarity with warehouse operations, material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, and safe lifting practices. Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles confidently (if applicable) and handle weight in the workplace safely. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards clients during deliveries. Experience with mobile devices for route management and communication purposes.
