Route Sales Representative/Driver

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and reliable Route Sales Representative/Driver to join our team. Responsibilities Safely operate company vehicles along assigned routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Deliver products to customers promptly and accurately, ensuring proper handling and placement. Engage with customers professionally, addressing inquiries and providing exceptional customer service. Upsell additional products or services to maximize sales opportunities during deliveries. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, sales, and inventory levels. Perform merchandising tasks such as product placement, restocking shelves, and organizing displays at customer locations. Handle heavy lifting of products and supplies during loading and unloading processes. Plan routes efficiently to optimize delivery times and fuel usage. Communicate effectively with the dispatch team regarding route progress, delays, or issues encountered. Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety and maintenance standards are met. Qualifications A clean driving record is essential. Strong math skills for accurate pricing calculations and inventory management. Proven experience in sales or customer service roles is advantageous; military experience is a plus. Excellent communication skills for engaging with customers and team members. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently. Strong organizational skills for route planning and time management. Experience with merchandising techniques to enhance product presentation. Knowledge of pricing strategies and upselling techniques to increase sales revenue. Prior experience in commercial driving or route delivery roles is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided as needed. This position requires a dedicated individual who can manage multiple responsibilities efficiently while maintaining high standards of safety and customer satisfaction.
