Route Sales Representative - Denver, CO

Essential Duties & Responsibilities Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Safely and accurately deliver frozen food products to assigned retail accounts. Build and maintain positive relationships with customers through dependable service. Merchandise products, maintain displays, and ensure products are properly rotated. Monitor inventory and communicate customer or product needs as necessary. Use handheld technology to complete deliveries, track inventory, and document activities. Maintain compliance with all DOT, safety, and company requirements. Represent Cold Front Distribution professionally at all times. Perform regular lifting and movement of products weighing up to 50 pounds. Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong customer service and communication skills. Ability to safely operate delivery equipment and use handheld technology. Ability to accurately track deliveries, inventory, and product movement. Knowledge of basic product rotation, merchandising, and inventory practices. Ability to safely lift, carry, push, and pull products weighing up to 50 pounds. Ability to follow company policies, safety procedures, and DOT requirements. Ability to prioritize tasks and meet scheduled delivery times. Professional, dependable, and team-oriented approach to work. Ability to communicate effectively with customers, supervisors, and team members. Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record. Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience in route sales, direct store delivery (DSD), grocery, food distribution, merchandising, or a related field preferred but not required. CDL experience or a valid CDL is preferred but not required. Experience operating handheld delivery or inventory devices is a plus. Previous customer service or customer-facing experience preferred. Must have a valid driver's license and maintain a satisfactory motor vehicle record (MVR). Must be able to successfully complete all required pre-employment screenings, including a background check, DOT physical, and drug screen. Physical Requirements & Work Environment This position requires the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull products weighing up to 50 pounds on a regular basis. The Route Sales Representative must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, twist, and climb as necessary to load, unload, stock, and merchandise products. The position requires standing and walking for extended periods, safely entering and exiting delivery vehicles throughout the workday, and operating equipment such as hand trucks and pallet jacks. The employee must be able to work in refrigerated and freezer environments for extended periods and perform repetitive movements associated with handling, stocking, and rotating frozen food products. The position also requires the ability to safely drive for extended periods while remaining alert and attentive. The employee must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation. The Route Sales Representative is responsible for delivering frozen food products to established retail accounts while providing exceptional customer service and maintaining strong customer relationships. This position plays a key role in ensuring products are delivered safely, accurately, and on schedule while maintaining proper inventory, product rotation, and merchandising standards. The Route Sales Representative represents Cold Front Distribution in the field and is expected to consistently demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and integrity. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while managing a daily delivery route.
