Route Sales Representative

Hunter Precision Tool is a small, family-owned tooling company serving customers throughout the region. We are looking for a Route Driver / Outside Sales Representative who is mechanically minded, genuinely interested in tooling and machining, and enjoys building relationships with customers. This is not a traditional delivery driver position . The right person will spend 4–5 days a week on the road delivering and picking up tooling while also serving as a customer-facing sales representative for Hunter Precision Tool. You will get to know our customers, understand their needs, identify opportunities, and help connect them with the right tooling solutions. We are looking for someone who is a people person and a go-getter — someone who enjoys being out in the field, talking with customers, solving problems, and looking for opportunities to grow the business. What You'll Do Customer & Sales Call on new customers throughout the territory. Develop strong, long-term relationships with existing customers. Identify customer needs and potential sales opportunities while making route stops. Promote Hunter Precision Tool's products and services and help grow existing accounts. Ask questions, listen to customers, and understand their tooling and machining challenges. Communicate customer needs and opportunities back to the Hunter Precision Tool team. Follow up with customers and help ensure a positive overall customer experience. Represent the company professionally and enthusiastically in the field. Route Driving & Deliveries Deliver completed tooling and products to customers. Pick up tooling, components, and materials from customers and vendors. Maintain an organized and efficient daily route. Handle products and tooling carefully and professionally. Communicate with customers regarding deliveries, pickups, timing, and special requests. Travel locally and regionally approximately 4–5 days per week . Tooling & Shop Support Develop a working understanding of tooling, machining processes, and the products Hunter Precision Tool provides. Help with shipping, receiving, packaging, and preparing orders when needed. Assist with small tooling-related projects and finishing tasks as needed. Occasionally assist the shop team with hands-on projects. Maintain a clean, organized vehicle and work area. What We're Looking For The most important thing is attitude. Has a strong interest in tooling, machining, manufacturing, mechanics, or other mechanical/technical fields . Can learn technical products and understand how they solve customer problems. Is a natural problem solver who asks questions and listens. Is self-motivated and enjoys working independently. Is a go-getter who sees an opportunity and pursues it. Takes pride in representing a small business and building customer relationships. Is dependable, organized, and professional. Enjoys being on the road and interacting with people rather than sitting behind a desk all day. Is comfortable working with their hands and helping with shop-related tasks when needed.
