Route Sales Representative

Overview of the Position: The Route Sales Representative is responsible for maintaining relationships with Key Accounts including National, Local, and Independent Grocers. This will include delivering, merchandising, and customer service of existing accounts. Route Sales Representative will be compensated based on performance and amount of product sold and therefore will work to maximize sales, establish displays in the store, and manage returns. This is a DSD (Direct Store Delivery) position with an independent distributor for Mission Foods. Potential 1st Year Income: $60k+ (after expenses) Standard hours: 5:00 am – 3:00 pm, Mon – Sat (5-6 days week) Primary Duties: Establish relationships with defined accounts that include National, Local, and Independent Grocers Coordinate with accounts for the best locations for displays in order to maximize sales Audit account for product mix and inventory Project/forecast client needs with the use of various technological tools including but not limited to handheld computer devices (rented to Route Sales Representative by Distributor) Setup, Maintain, and merchandise sales displays and product on shelves Keep all product clean and organized at all times Execute product promotions as they occur to maximize sales DSD and/or retail grocery store experience preferred but not necessary. Product Delivery: * Must be able load and count inventory on truck on a daily basis Safely drive and operate delivery vehicle (Distributor is willing to work with the right person if they don’t have their own delivery vehicle. It is a plus if potential hire has their own delivery vehicle) Standard Driver’s License required (no CDL required) ***Subject to background check including driving record, misdemeanor, and felony*** Job Type: Full-time Pay: $35,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year Work Location: On the road
