Route Sales Manager

Job Title: Route Sales Manager Reports To General Manager Purpose of Job To consistently service and aggressively expand an assigned set of customers along a predetermined route. Job Components: Set up new accounts Sell and deliver new batteries Sell and deliver used/blemish batteries Sell and deliver battery accessories and All Battery store products Collect and return used/junk batteries to distributorship Keep accurate truck inventory count daily Invoice all units that fail to last the full warranty period Rotate batteries at dealers at 6-month interval Collect money & keep customer A/R current Provide dealer with up-to-date POP, price lists, brochures, and application guides as needed Maintain the route by keeping displays clean and keeping dealer list up to date Service each dealer on the assigned route for that day Establish, build and maintain good dealer relationships Report all problems or service issues with dealers as needed Keep truck and equipment clean and organized Keep track of service intervals so regular PM service is performed on a regular basis Report all truck repair issues as needed Complete documentation on a timely basis Qualifications Must have a clean driving record. Prior sales experience highly desirable Good communication skills Strong customer service skills. Must possess or be able to obtain Medical Card certification Scope Data Uses frequent independent judgment when making decisions Work Environment Must be able to lift 50 pounds on a repetitive basis Driving a route truck daily Must be able to get in and out of the truck numerous times throughout the day Daily bending, lifting, pulling, pushing to load and deliver batteries Must wear steel toe shoes and other personal protection equipment when handling batteries Warehouse environment, may be exposed to temperature extremes and battery acid Job Type: Full-time Pay: $41,600.00 - $60,000.00 per year Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Employee discount Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Ability to Commute: Hamilton, OH 45015 (Required) Ability to Relocate: Hamilton, OH 45015: Relocate before starting work (Required) Willingness to travel: 25% (Preferred) Work Location: In person
