Responsibilities Safely operate commercial vehicles, including trucks and automobiles, to deliver products along assigned routes while complying with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations. Manage route driving schedules efficiently to meet delivery deadlines and optimize customer satisfaction. Conduct safe lifting practices to unload products at retail stores or customer locations. Build lasting customer relationships through friendly communication, professional service, and upselling opportunities to enhance sales volume. Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including pricing adjustments and inventory records, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded. Merchandize products at retail locations to maximize visibility and sales potential, following company standards. Communicate effectively with clients regarding delivery schedules, product information, and special requests to foster trust and loyalty. Skills Proven experience in commercial truck driving or automobile transportation with a clean driving record. Strong knowledge of route driving, sales techniques, and basic math for pricing calculations. Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team coordination. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following proper lifting practices. Retail store experience is a plus for understanding merchandising and customer needs. Organizational skills to plan routes efficiently and manage delivery paperwork accurately. Familiarity with DOT regulations ensures compliance during all transportation activities.
