Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to perform all dispatching related duties. Duties include route communication while drivers are in the field and office along with other assignments while providing general administrative support to the Operations team. Key Responsibilities · Ensure all communications are sent to all drivers prior to route starting time · Issue keys, tablets, and route maps are provided to drivers upon arrival · Log start times on current days’ schedule. · Log/Track landfill disposal and driver activity on current day’s delivery schedule · Log the previous days’ disposal tickets · Analyze daily route information and implement changes to daily routing to ensure efficient, proactive, and immediate improvements using the internal routing platform. · Use routing system visibility and flexibility to analyze and respond to same day changes or next day planning for service needs of our customers. · Be in constant communication with drivers to evaluate route progress and make sure they have all necessary information. · Communicate with Operation Supervisors issues with drivers not performing tasks as assigned · Communicate with Fleet Department and Field Supervisors about any truck issues or roadside breakdowns · Perform other job-related duties as assigned Qualifications · 2+ years in Route Operations, preferably Dispatching. · Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality. · Strong organizational and communication skills. · Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Excel. · High School diploma or equivalent required.
