Route Driver / Warehouse Worker – Commercial Bakery

Job Overview
This position involves delivering baked and frozen goods to three store locations in Toronto, receiving vendor deliveries, organizing warehouse inventory, and assisting with general bakery operations.
A helper will accompany the driver on daily delivery routes.

1. Route Driving and Deliveries
• Load the truck each morning and deliver baked and frozen products

• Collect empty cartons from stores and return them to the bakery.
• Unload the truck upon returning and clean the vehicle.
2. Receiving and Quality Inspection
• Assist with receiving deliveries from outside vendors.
• Record lot codes on invoices for each delivery.
• Inspect incoming products for expiry dates, damage, pest activity, and other quality concerns.
• Move products to the appropriate warehouse storage areas.
3. Freezer and Inventory Management
• Receive and organize frozen products and store orders.
• Pick products as required and rotate inventory according to stock rotation procedures.
• Organize frozen bread deliveries and place baked products on the appropriate shelves.
4. Warehouse and Bakery Support
• Organize ingredient and packaging storage areas.
• Maintain cleanliness in general bakery and warehouse areas.
• Assist with production duties as required.
• Follow all food safety, quality control, and workplace safety procedures.
Requirements
• Valid Ontario G Driver’s Licence.
• Previous Canadian truck driving experience.
• Mandatory: A signed letter confirming previous commercial driving insurance coverage, as required by the company’s insurance provider.
• Must have been named on a previous commercial insurance policy. Fleet policies do not qualify.
• Must be reliable and available to start work at 5:00 AM.
• Ability to lift up to 25 kg (55 lbs).
• Comfortable working in freezer environments.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to maintaining product quality at every stage.
What We Offer
• Competitive pay of $21.00 per hour.
• Consistent schedule, Tuesday to Saturday.
