Route Delivery Driver – Overnight Routes Required

Vijay Home Foods is seeking a dependable and professional Delivery Truck Driver in Edison, NJ. This role involves transporting refrigerated and frozen products to grocery stores, restaurants, customers and distributors within the Tri-state area and New England region (including 2 overnight routes per week). The ideal candidate will prioritize safety, punctuality, and customer service while handling perishable products with care. Key Responsibilities: Delivery & Route Operations Safely operate a commercial delivery truck (box truck) in compliance with all traffic laws and DOT regulations. Deliver refrigerated food products on scheduled B2B routes, including overnight trips Load and unload deliveries using pallet jacks or hand trucks. Verify delivery accuracy, obtain proof of delivery (signatures where applicable), and handle occasional invoices, collections or payments. Maintain delivery records and communicate delays, issues, or discrepancies to dispatch or supervisors. Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections. Provide courteous, professional service and represent the Vijay Home Foods brand to customers. Support warehouse tasks when needed, including inventory handling and order prep. Pickup, load and unload damaged goods, and customer returns, and complete necessary paperwork Maintain sanitary conditions in the truck and assist with maintaining sanitary conditions in the warehouse and yard. Perform other tasks as needed. Qualifications & Requirements Prior Box Truck Experience Required - No CDL Required Valid Work Authorization Required. Must have valid DOT medical or must qualify to acquire one. Clean driving record and commitment to road safety. Trucks have dual-facing dashcam (Road and Cabin) Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and handle frequent loading/unloading. Prior B2B route delivery experience preferred, especially in the Northeast region. Strong time management, organization, and customer service skills. Comfortable using GPS and delivery tracking apps. Willingness to travel overnight as needed (typically 1–2 nights/week). Must be punctual, reliable, and adaptable to changing delivery schedules or weather conditions Must be able to work a varied schedule to include nights, weekends, and holidays Benefits Hourly pay (Approximately 40 hours per week) Overnight allowance Available Seasonal Overtime Hours Job Type: Full-time Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour Work Location: In person
