Route/Delivery Driver (Non-CDL)

Job Description: We are in the business of collecting and processing used cooking oil (non-hazmat) from restaurants. We're looking for route drivers who are energetic, personable, and safe. Drivers will operate vehicles less than 26,000 pounds gross vehicle weight, and may be required to move up to 300 pounds and bend and twist as necessary. Drivers are responsible for the cleanliness and standard maintenance of vehicles, and observing safety procedures regarding Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, and power equipment tools, including complying with electronic log reporting. For this position, drivers will generally work throughout the day, Monday through Saturday. Route drivers usually return home same-day. Overnight stays may be required. Driver responsibilities and duties Plan and execute an efficient route Use route navigation apps and knowledge of area to remove and deliver grease containers for customers on time Interact with customers in a professional manner Work occasional evenings and weekends Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections and notify mechanic of any issues Drive in inclement weather such as rain or snow Maintain electronic logs Driver qualifications and skills Chauffeur's license minimum, CDL B or A with tanker endorsement recommended Existing (non-expired) Driver's Medical Certification or ability to pass a Medical Certification, or ability to pass Medical Certification Must pass pre-employment drug test Strength to shift (push, roll, budge, lift, or leverage) up to 300 pounds plus bending and twisting Work well independently Open and transparent communication Familiarity with GPS map apps Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction) Minimum 21 years of age Nothing in this job description restricts management's right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.
