Route Delivery Driver

Job Description: We’re seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Route Delivery Driver who can load and unload the delivery vehicle, drive safely, deliver fudge, restock shelves, invoice customers, collect payments and build customer relationships with existing customers, grocery store receivers, bakery managers fundraiser participants and business owners! We would also consider a contractor with adjusted pay in lieu of W-2 employment for the right candidate. We would also consider multiple people to fill the role so if you can only work 1 - 2 days a week, we can likely make that work. We provide the vehicle. Our current delivery area runs from Bangor to Bar Harbor down to Orange, MA, over to Keene, NH and around Lake Winnepesauke. Position is part time ~25 - 35 hours a week with an average of about 30. Stores accept delivery from about 4AM - 1PM Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday so we try to deliver to as many stores as possible and be efficient, typically leaving the office by 4:00AM Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. These hours may be flexible depending upon seasonality and other demands but deliveries will generally occur at least 3 days per week. Pay is $20 -$24 to start. There is potential to get to full time hours for the right candidate if you are willing to support the facility maintenance, warehouse, labeling and assisting with other production needs. Must be able to lift 60 lbs from floor to counter height. Must have a valid Drivers License with a clean driving record. Must be willing to work longer hours. Routes are often 10 - 12 hours due to delays. The Main Duties Are: Loading delivery van for day's deliveries Driving to established customers Working with receivers, store managers, staff to stock shelves, invoice customers and collect payments Unloading undelivered product back at the office Driving to the post office/UPS/Fedex with shipments or off cycle delivery to a specific customer to deliver a large order Other duties as assigned About us: We value hard work, but we also feel that work should be a place where you can walk in and feel appreciated, respected, be yourself and learn and grow as much as humanly possible too!
