Route Delivery Driver

We are currently hiring LOCAL ROUTE DELIVERY DRIVERS for our wholesale division in Stonington Connecticut. Drivers start their day assisting in the warehouse and loading their truck. The day is spent delivering to some of the finest restaurants and markets in the area. At the end of the day drivers clean out their truck and fill out required (minimal) paperwork. We are open 6 days a week, closed on Sundays. Saturdays and some holidays are required. The shift start around 8:00 am and ends anywhere between 2:00pm and 4:00 pm, depending on the day and the route. We use 14ft – 22ft refrigerated box trucks. A clean driving record is required . A DOT health card is needed but can be acquired after being hired. Customer service, teamwork and positive attitudes are expected. RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist warehouse managers with unloading trucks and/or boats, packing customer orders, rotating products, and receiving new product. Keep loading dock and warehouse areas clean and organized. Clean, maintain, inspect and monitor delivery vehicles daily. Load delivery trucks and keep everything labeled and organized for deliveries. Care for stock in compliance with the Company's requirements as well as Local, State and Federal food/seafood regulations. Deliver products to customer locations in a timely and professional manner. Provide excellent customer service. QUALIFICATIONS: Some experience in warehouse work, delivery driving, and/or other related fields. Ability to handle a consistent physical workload and lift 60+ lbs regularly. A team player who is communicative and organized. As well as deadline and detail oriented.
