Route Delivery Driver

Job Summary As a Route Delivery Driver, you’ll transport freight and other cargo safely and reliably along assigned local or over-the-road (OTR) routes. You’ll operate commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers, and may handle refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, or tankers based on the load. Use GPS navigation to follow routes, manage delivery schedules, and keep cargo secure. Your impact: Careful driving and cargo handling help customers receive their deliveries safely and on time. Duties Drive commercial vehicles on route and OTR assignments, including vehicles with manual transmissions. Load, unload, and secure freight; perform manual handling and logistics cargo handling as needed. Inspect vehicles and cargo, and report safety concerns, damage, or delivery issues. Follow delivery instructions, use GPS navigation, and maintain accurate route and delivery records. Transport hazardous materials or dangerous goods when assigned, following applicable handling procedures. Qualifications Delivery driver experience and experience with cargo van , commercial driving, delivery driving, or automobile transportation are preferred. Ability to safely operate commercial trucks and tractor-trailers; experience with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, or tankers is helpful. Knowledge of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, including hazardous materials regulations; Hazmat experience is preferred. Able to load and unload cargo and perform manual handling as required.
