Route Delivery Driver

Job Overview Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Local Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently within designated routes. This role requires a strong understanding of various driving equipment and the ability to navigate local roads while ensuring timely deliveries. The Local Driver will play a crucial role in maintaining customer satisfaction through reliable service. Responsibilities Operate various types of vehicles including vans and box trucks to transport freight. Ensure the safe loading and unloading of materials, office supplies, and confidential records. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations. Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for all trips. Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any inquiries or concerns professionally. Skills Locally owned and operated company is seeking qualified individuals to assist with delivery activity Monday through Friday. Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety regulations. Company is fast paced and requires individuals who are hardworking, customer oriented, and operate safely. Ability to drive various types of vehicles including vans and box trucks. Must have exceptional customer service skills and be able to lift, carry, and safely transport freight. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate record keeping. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with team members and customers. Applicants must be able to pass a criminal background check.
