Rollback Tow Truck Driver – Vehicle Transport

AutoPAQ Transport is seeking a reliable and professional Rollback Tow Truck Driver to transport vehicles throughout South Florida as part of our automotive logistics operation. This is not primarily a roadside-assistance or accident-recovery position . Our drivers transport vehicles between dealerships, auctions, storage locations, AutoPAQ facilities, and South Florida ports. The driver reports directly to the Fleet & Dispatch Operations Manager and is expected to follow assigned routes, maintain communication with Dispatch, properly handle company equipment, and represent AutoPAQ professionally at every location. Primary Responsibilities Operate a rollback tow truck safely and professionally. Pick up and deliver vehicles according to Dispatch assignments. Transport vehicles between auctions, dealerships, AutoPAQ facilities, ports and other approved locations. Follow routes and instructions issued by the Fleet & Dispatch Operations Manager. Maintain active communication with Dispatch throughout the workday. Properly secure every vehicle before transport. Perform required pre-trip and post-trip inspections. Inspect vehicles and equipment for visible damage before and after transport. Immediately report accidents, damage, mechanical issues or equipment failures. Maintain responsibility for straps, chains, hooks, L-arms and other equipment assigned to the truck. Keep the truck cab and equipment organized and clean. Use the company fuel card only for authorized purchases and submit required receipts. Follow company procedures for fuel, tolls and other transportation expenses. Use Samsara and any other company-required applications or mobile tools. Follow pickup and delivery procedures at auctions, dealerships and ports. Maintain professional appearance and wear the required AutoPAQ uniform. Complete assigned movements efficiently while following all safety requirements. Report delays, traffic, unavailable vehicles or other exceptions immediately to Dispatch. Protect keys, documents and vehicles while they are under the driver's custody. Driver Accountability This role is performance-driven. Drivers will be evaluated on factors including: Completed vehicle movements Productivity per paid hour On-time pickups and deliveries Avoidable idle time Route compliance Unauthorized mileage Fuel efficiency Equipment care Vehicle handling Safety record Attendance and punctuality Inspection compliance Proper reporting of damage or incidents Professional appearance Communication with Dispatch Safety always takes priority over speed or number of completed moves. A driver will never be expected to compromise safe vehicle loading, securement, traffic laws or equipment procedures in order to increase productivity. Requirements Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record. Previous commercial driving, towing, rollback, vehicle transport or similar experience preferred. Comfortable driving throughout Miami-Dade, Broward and surrounding South Florida areas. Ability to safely load, secure and unload vehicles. Ability to use smartphones, GPS navigation and company applications. Ability to communicate effectively with Dispatch. Ability to inspect basic truck equipment and identify visible mechanical or safety concerns. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Professional appearance and conduct. Ability to work independently while following centralized Dispatch instructions. English required for interaction with auctions, dealerships, ports and other facilities. Spanish is a plus. TWIC card preferred; ability to obtain one may be required based on assigned routes. Physical Requirements The position requires the ability to: Enter and exit the truck repeatedly throughout the day. Walk around vehicles and equipment. Bend, crouch and inspect tie-down points.
