Rollback Tow Truck Driver

Experience Preferred IMPORTANT Applicants must live in Martin County, North Carolina. This is a local roadside service position, and candidates must be able to respond reliably to calls throughout the service area. NIGHTS AND WEEKENDS ARE REQUIRED. Applicants must be willing and available to work nights, weekends, holidays, and other non-traditional hours. This position is not a Monday–Friday, daytime-only position. In This Role, You Will Have the Opportunity To: Operate a tow truck and applicable service equipment to assist AAA members, employees, and other motorists. Utilize GPS and maps to locate member breakdown locations. Service vehicles by performing functions such as providing fuel, testing and replacing batteries, performing jump-starts, providing lockout service, and changing or inflating flat tires. Ensure 100% member satisfaction by providing excellent customer service. Provide support at special events such as parades, travel shows, Car Care events, and Public Relations events. How We Reward Our Employees: Fully paid training. Overtime earning potential. We Are Looking for Candidates Who: Live in Martin County, North Carolina. Have a valid driver's license. Are 21 years of age or older with at least 2 years of driving experience . Has rollback experience. Possess a valid state driver's license with minimal driving infractions or incidents. Are comfortable using tablets, smartphones, GPS, and other electronic devices to update calls, review policies and procedures, document safety records, and complete other applicable duties. Have reliable transportation to and from work. Exhibit strong customer service skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with customers/members and understand the importance of meeting and exceeding customer expectations. Are available and willing to work nights and weekends . Have the ability to lift materials weighing up to seventy-five (75) pounds . Are able to successfully complete drug screening, an MVR check, and a criminal background check. Preferred Qualifications: Possess experience servicing vehicles, such as operating large trucks, transporting automobiles, providing lockout service, and changing or inflating flat tires. Have prior tow truck driving or roadside service experience. Can safely operate a wheel lift, flatbed, and dolly towing equipment, as well as full-size or mini service vehicles and applicable service equipment; commercial driving experience is also preferred. Work Environment: Provides roadside service and works primarily outside of the office, with frequent exposure to road hazards and temperature extremes. Because roadside assistance is needed around the clock, nights and weekends are an essential requirement of this position.
