Tle' Nax T'awei Industrial LimitedRoll-Off Truck Driver DIVISON: General Waste Management LOCATION: Whitehorse, Yukon POSITION STATUS: Permanent, Full-Time SUPERVISOR: General Manager POSITION SUMMARY Reporting directly to the General Manager, this position will assist with a variety of duties including but not limited to the delivery, pickup & servicing of waste bins using a roll-off waste removal truck, light shop and vehicle maintenance and other related duties. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: Loading & unloading of waste equipment/goods Delivery, removal & maintenance of waste bins and other equipment Ability to safely operate a roll-off waste removal truck Operation of fork lift & bobcat Providing customer service, ensuring all activities are recorded Maintenance and cleaning of vehicles, and other equipment Ensuring the required PPE is used at all times Flexible working schedule Load & unload heavy objects (Be able to lift and maneuver a minimum of 50lbs) Light mechanical duties such as greasing, oil changes, and basic maintenance Ability to work safely and independently Assisting with other TTLPI divisions as needed QUALIFICATIONS Professional Competencies: Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment Cross cultural awareness The ability to work with minimal supervision Ability to follow oral and written instructions Knowledge and Technical Skills: Knowledge of and the ability to safely operate a commercial waste removal truck with airbrakes Basic mechanical skills Knowledge and experience with commercial waste removal General knowledge of General Waste Management Education and Work Experience: Minimum grade 12 graduate or equivalent Commercial driving experience Basic mechanical experience an asset Conditions of Employment: Class 1 or 3 Drivers License with a clean drivers abstract (required) Airbrakes Endorsement Ticket (required) ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: This is a permanent full-time position.
