Roll-Off Driver

Job Overview Responsibilities Operate roll-off trucks equipped specialized containers to transport waste and freight across designated routes. Navigate efficiently using GPS systems while adhering to over-the-road (OTR) driving routes and schedules. Comply with all FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration), DOT (Department of Transportation), hazardous materials regulations, and safety standards during daily operations. Manage logistics cargo handling tasks including loading, unloading, securing loads, and verifying shipment accuracy. Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, pickups, inspections, and compliance logs for each trip. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members to coordinate route adjustments or address operational issues promptly. Requirements Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record; experience with manual transmission preferred. Proven experience in truck driving, delivery driving, or freight transportation—especially with tractor-trailers or hazardous materials (Hazmat). Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, hazardous materials regulations, DOT compliance standards, and safety protocols. Strong navigation skills utilizing GPS navigation systems for route planning and execution. Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety and compliance across over-the-road (OTR) routes. Physical stamina to perform manual handling tasks regularly; ability to work in various weather conditions.
