Roll Off Driver

Overview We are seeking a skilled and dependable Roll Off Driver to operate commercial trucks and transport waste containers efficiently and safely. This role involves driving over the road (OTR) routes, managing logistics cargo handling, and adhering to all FMCSA, DOT, and hazardous materials regulations. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in truck driving, delivery driving, and manual handling, with a strong focus on safety and compliance. Responsibilities Operate rolloff truck, ensuring safe handling of various freight types across designated delivery areas while maintaining adherence to FMCSA and DOT regulations. Load and unload cargo safely using manual handling techniques, ensuring proper securing of freight according to safety standards. Use GPS navigation systems for route planning and timely deliveries or pickups. Transport automobile transportation units as required, ensuring proper securing and compliance with safety protocols. Manage logistics cargo handling by coordinating pickups and drop-offs efficiently along assigned routes. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle inspections, and cargo documentation in accordance with FMCSA regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with DOT standards. Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route adjustments or delivery updates. Experience Prior experience operating rolloff truck. Familiarity with hazardous materials regulations (Hazmat). Demonstrated knowledge of FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) standards, and hazard communication protocols. Strong understanding of logistics cargo handling processes including load & unload operations. Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for the type of vehicle operated. Experience in automobile transportation or freight delivery routes is advantageous but not mandatory.
