Role Description The Roll Off Driver is a full-time, on-site role based in Greenwood, IN. This role is responsible for safely operating roll-off trucks to deliver, pick up, and relocate containers at customer sites, following all traffic laws and company safety procedures. Daily tasks include inspecting vehicles and equipment, securing loads, completing route documentation, and communicating with dispatch about schedule changes or service needs. The Roll Off Driver interacts with customers on-site, ensuring containers are placed correctly, addressing basic service questions, and representing Southway Sanitation in a professional manner. The role may involve working in various weather conditions, performing routine vehicle maintenance checks, and adhering to all local, state, and federal regulations. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong truck driving skills and experience operating commercial vehicles safely. Candidates should possess a valid CDL Class A (or appropriate CDL license) and a clean driving record. Candidates should possess effective communication skills for coordinating with dispatch and team members. Candidates should possess customer service skills to interact professionally with clients on job sites. Candidates should possess the ability to perform basic vehicle inspections and follow safety and compliance procedures. Reliable attendance, ability to work in varying outdoor conditions, and willingness to follow route schedules. Experience in waste management, construction site services, or related industries is beneficial. High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
