Rock Truck Driver

Job Summary We are seeking reliable and safety-conscious Rock Truck Drivers to operate heavy-duty off-highway trucks. You will transport rocks, ore, tailings, and other heavy materials safely and efficiently around our active mining sites. We are currently hiring approximately 40 Drivers for a 7/7 Day Shift/ Night Shift schedule for our local operations. Key Responsibilities Operate articulated or rigid-frame rock trucks following strict site safety protocols. Perform thorough daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting mechanical issues or safety hazards immediately. Navigate rough terrain, steep grades, and congested loading/dumping zones safely. Communicate clearly with excavators, loaders, and dispatch personnel via two-way radio. Maintain clean equipment cabs and assist with basic on-site routine maintenance. Knowledge of Articulate and hauling procedures considered an asset Previous mining experience is an asset Preference for individuals experienced on multiple pieces of equipment Maintain daily logs of equipment usage, maintenance, etc. Identify, report, and correct hazards Excellent verbal and written communication skills Punctuality Requirements & Qualifications Valid driver’s license (Class G or G2 Minimum) with a clean abstract Proven experience operating heavy equipment or large off-road rock trucks in mining, aggregate, or heavy civil construction. Ability to pass pre-employment screening, including background checks and drug/alcohol testing where applicable. Strong situational awareness and depth perception to operate safely around heavy machinery. Physical stamina to climb ladders, work in various weather conditions, and sit for extended shift periods Ability to work independently and self-motivated Team Player; able to get along with a diverse group of people working towards a common goal Surface Common Core is an asset Current Criminal Record Check EXPERIENCED AND LOCAL PREFERRED Wages commensurate with experience Join us if you’re ready to kick-start your career in Surface Mining operations!
