Roadside Diesel Technician (Company Truck Provided)
Fast Fleet Road ServiceFast Fleet is hiring experienced diesel technicians to handle roadside repairs in the Chattanooga area. This is a fully mobile, on-call position. You’ll be assigned a service truck stocked with core tools and parts, along with support from our operations team and mobile warehouses to keep you moving. Compensation $1,000/week minimum guarantee ($33–$39/hour) Typical take-home: $1,500–$2,000+ per week What You’ll Be Doing Diagnose and repair breakdowns on heavy-duty diesel trucks (Class 6–8) Perform roadside repairs and on-site fleet maintenance Complete PMs, DOT inspections, and general mechanical work Handle tire replacements and trailer repairs Communicate job updates and document work performed What Makes This Role Different Company-provided service truck with core tools and inventory Mobile warehouse support for parts and restocking Consistent workload from national and regional fleet accounts Work independently in the field (no shop environment) Strong dispatch and operational support Requirements Must be 21 years of age or older (insurance requirement) 2+ years of diesel mechanic experience (required) Experience with roadside or mobile repair (preferred) Experience working on-call (preferred) Trailer repair experience is a plus Valid driver’s license Must have your own basic mechanic tools (hand tools, etc.) Ability to work independently and manage jobs in the field Must be available for on-call work (this is not a set schedule) Additional Details Full-time position On the road (no shop) PTO offered If you’re a technician who can diagnose problems, work independently, and want consistent work with strong earning potential, apply today.
