Road Driver

Position Overview: This role involves pick-up and delivery of trailers between Service Centers and turn-point locations using tractor-trailer combinations. Essential Functions Operate tractor-trailers, including doubles and triples where applicable. Perform daily pre-trip and safety inspections on equipment. Hook and unhook trailers and converter dollies. Complete required documentation and maintain accurate logs. Comply with hazardous material regulations and follow dispatch instructions. May perform chaining of tires and assist with loading/unloading freight. Adhere to all laws, regulations, and company policies. Perform other duties as needed. Qualifications & Skills Class A CDL with double/triple, hazardous materials, and tank endorsements; automatic transmission restriction allowed. At least 1 year of recent driving experience or successful completion of a driver development course. Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and compliance with DOT regulations. Ability to operate long combination vehicles and meet qualification standards in certain states. Strong communication skills, physical ability to hook trailers, and ability to work independently or as part of a team. Demonstrates initiative and motivation. Working Conditions: Long-distance driving in various weather conditions, exposure to noise, dust, diesel fumes, and hazardous materials. Overnight stays may be required, with hours varying based on operational needs.
