The Impact of a Revenue Systems Director, Platform and Architecture at Coupa : The Director, Revenue Systems — Platform and Architecture is accountable for the architecture, build, integration, data foundation and continuous improvement of Coupa's revenue systems stack. The position sets the technical direction for the stack, determines how capabilities are delivered, and is accountable for the reliability, scalability and total cost of ownership of the platforms in scope. The position is the primary Revenue Operations interface to Information Technology, Information Security, Procurement and platform vendors. It holds joint accountability with the Director, Revenue Systems — Revenue Operations for strategy, roadmap and solution design, and separate accountability for technical delivery. What You'll Do: Architecture and technical direction Defines and maintains the reference architecture for the revenue systems stack, including system-of-record designations, object and data model standards, integration patterns and platform boundaries. Sets technical standards for configuration, automation, extensibility and technical debt management across in-scope platforms. Evaluates architectural options for new capability, including native platform configuration, integration tooling, middleware and custom development, and recommends the approach. Maintains the forward view of platform roadmaps, release schedules and end-of-life dates, and plans upgrade and migration activity accordingly. Build and continuous improvement Accountable for delivery of the technical build against the agreed roadmap, including configuration design, environment strategy, testing approach and release management. Establishes and operates a continuous improvement program for the stack, including identification of friction points from system telemetry, prioritization of remediation and measurement of improvement. • Defines and enforces change control, documentation and technical review standards for all changes to in-scope systems. • Accountable for platform reliability and incident management for revenue-critical systems, including root cause analysis and preventive action. Artificial intelligence and automation Accountable for the technical delivery of artificial intelligence and automation capability in the revenue stack, including evaluation of vendor and platform-native capability, configuration, integration and agent-based workflow implementation. Builds the instrumentation required to measure artificial intelligence and automation outcomes against baseline within the revenue stack. Information Technology partnership and compliance Serves as the primary Revenue Operations interface to Information Technology on integration architecture, enterprise platform change, identity and access management, and shared architecture decisions, within agreed ownership boundaries.
