Harbor is seeking a Revenue Cycle Operations Analyst to join the Toledo team. This position is responsible to support the effective and efficient setup, maintenance, and optimization of revenue cycle related software and systems.

Position is full-time, 40 hours per week.

Education/Experience/Other Requirements: 

  • Associate Degree in Business, Healthcare, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related discipline required. Bachelors preferred.
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in behavioral health revenue cycle preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities , with the capacity to evaluate complex data and identify effective solutions.
  • Proficiency with data analysis, reporting tools and EHR systems, experience using SmartCare preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively. Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Microsoft operating systems and related applications.

Essential Job Competencies/Primary Duties: 

  1. Identifies and tracks payers specific challenges and opportunities and facilitates resolution through a variety of methods.
  2. Monitors, interprets, and communicates policy and payer changes and collaborates with agency staff to resolve issues timely.  
  3. Analyzes current revenue cycle processes and data and provides suggestions for improved efficiency and effectiveness.
  4. Investigates claim denials, underpayments, and rejections to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
  5. Leads and coordinates assigned projects by establishing clear priorities, communicating expectations, and ensuring timely completion of deliverables.
  6. Provides technical training, guidance, and resource support for staff in regard to effective use of available applications.
  7. Updates and maintains electronic health record system setup for effective revenue cycle management.
  8. Coordinates and conducts thorough and timely testing and verification of revenue cycle applications as updates are applied.
  9. Assists in developing user documentation and departmental policies and procedures that impact the use of application systems.
  10. Organizes and formulates approaches to meet business needs utilizing existing and new technologies.
  11. Coordinates annual review of charge master to ensure compliance.
  12. Works with Revenue Cycle team to maximize agency revenue and minimize risk.
  13. Keeps current with trends and developments related to essential job competencies and demonstrates continuous growth.
