Returns and Inventory Specialist

Job Summary Classic Exhibits is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Returns & Inventory Specialist to support warehouse operations, rental returns processing, and inventory management. This role is responsible for receiving and inspecting returned exhibit components, maintaining accurate inventory records, preparing outbound orders, assembling display materials, and ensuring warehouse organization and accuracy. The ideal candidate enjoys hands-on warehouse work while also possessing strong organizational and computer skills to manage inventory data and documentation. Schedule: Full Time, 8:00am - 4:30pm, Monday through Friday (Occasional overtime on Saturdays may be required during busy seasons.) **** MANDATORY 5 PANEL DRUG TEST ( INCLUDING MARIJUANA) UPON HIRE **** Responsibilities Returns Processing Receive, inspect, and check in returned rental exhibits and components. Document damages, shortages, missing items, and quality concerns. Identify repair, replacement, or refurbishment requirements. Record return information accurately within inventory tracking systems. Communicate return discrepancies to supervisors and other departments as needed. Inventory Management Perform inventory counts, audits, and cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy. Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies. Label, organize, and store materials in designated warehouse locations. Maintain accurate inventory records using company software, spreadsheets, and databases. Monitor inventory levels and notify management of shortages or replenishment needs. Warehouse Operations Assemble, stage, and pack exhibit and rental components according to shipping schedules. Prepare outbound shipments and coordinate materials for pickup. Assist with loading and unloading trucks. Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, and other warehouse equipment as authorized. Use hand tools, drills, saws, and measuring devices safely and effectively. Documentation & Technology Utilize inventory software, Microsoft Office applications, and Excel to track inventory and generate reports. Maintain clear and accurate records of inventory movement and return activity. Support reporting efforts related to inventory performance, shortages, and warehouse metrics. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure inventory accuracy and operational efficiency. Workplace Organization & Safety Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment. Keep workstations, shelves, aisles, and staging areas orderly. Follow all company safety procedures and warehouse best practices. Support continuous improvement initiatives that increase efficiency and inventory accuracy. Qualifications Required High school diploma or equivalent. 1-3 years of warehouse, inventory control, logistics, returns processing, or related experience. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications. Effective communication and teamwork skills. Dependable attendance and strong organizational abilities. Ability to read measurements and accurately document information. Preferred Experience with inventory management systems or ERP software. Forklift certification or experience operating warehouse equipment. Experience working in manufacturing, trade show, exhibit, or logistics environments. Previous inventory auditing or cycle counting experience. Physical Requirements Regularly lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds. Occasionally lift or move items exceeding 50 pounds with assistance. Frequently stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and reach throughout the workday. Ability to climb ladders and work safely in warehouse environments. Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks and operate warehouse equipment.
