Retail Store Operator – Mailboxes & Shipping Store

We are a locally owned mailboxes & shipping store looking for a dependable, customer-focused Store Associate to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping people, understands how small businesses run, and is looking for long-term stability , not a short stop. Key Responsibilities: Assist customers with shipping, mailboxes, and business services Operate shipping and mailbox systems: Open new mailboxes for the customers: Properly complete USPS Form 1583 and collect ID/Address proofs from Customer. Upload the documents into USPS BCG account Provide excellent front-counter customer service Upsell store products and services when appropriate Handle packages, mail sorting, and daily store operations Maintain accuracy, confidentiality, and professionalism at all times Softwares: Working experience with the below softwares not needed , but be able to learn quickly and be able to work with these softwares. PostalMate (shipping software) Bullship (mailbox management software) Clover (Payment Processing Software) Required Skills & Qualifications Fundamental computer skills (comfortable using software systems) Willing to get the Notary License. Ability to learn and operate PostalMate & Bullship Strong attention to detail (especially for mailbox and USPS compliance) Comfortable working with forms, IDs, and sensitive customer information Clear communication and customer-facing skills Ability to multitask in a retail environment. Maintain a clean and organized store environment through effective merchandising and stocking practices. Provide excellent phone etiquette when addressing customer inquiries or concerns.
