Retail Store Manager

Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Retail Store Manager to lead our store operations with enthusiasm and a customer-focused mindset. Duties Lead and supervise the retail sales team to achieve sales targets and deliver outstanding customer service. Manage daily store operations including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and POS (Point of Sale) system oversight. Oversee inventory control, stock replenishment, purchasing, and merchandising to maximize product availability and presentation. Conduct employee orientation, training & development sessions to enhance team performance and product knowledge. Handle recruiting efforts by interviewing candidates, participating in hiring decisions, and onboarding new employees. Maintain accurate bookkeeping and payroll records while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. Monitor store performance metrics, implement operational improvements, and manage budgets to optimize profitability. Ensure adherence to safety standards, manage shift schedules effectively, and supervise cashiering activities with excellent phone etiquette. Skills Proven management experience within the retail industry with a strong background in sales team supervision. Excellent communication skills including managerial communication, bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for diverse customer bases. Strong negotiation skills for vendor purchasing and conflict resolution with customers or staff. Proficiency in POS systems, inventory management software, bookkeeping, payroll processing, and basic math skills for retail math calculations. Demonstrated leadership in training & development initiatives and operational management strategies. Experience with merchandising, stock control, pricing strategies, and grocery store operations is desirable. Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of retail store product lines combined with customer service expertise to enhance shopping experiences. Ability to handle cash handling responsibilities accurately while maintaining high standards of phone etiquette and communication skills.
