Retail Store Associate

Job Summary Join our dynamic retail team as a Retail Store Associate, where your energy and enthusiasm will drive exceptional customer experiences! In this role, you will be the friendly face of our store and sometimes our bakery , assisting customers with their shopping needs, providing product reccomendations, and ensuring the sales floor is inviting and well-stocked. Your proactive approach will help customers find what they need while promoting our products and services. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding customer service through active communication and attentive listening. Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently for retail sales transactions, including cash register operations and cash handling. Assist customers with product demos, explaining features and benefits to enhance their shopping experience. Maintain store appearance by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and merchandising products to attract customer attention. Upsell relevant products and services to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring customer satisfaction. Handle retail math accurately for transactions, including giving correct change and managing cash drawers responsibly. Support inventory management by receiving stock deliveries, verifying shipments, and conducting stock replenishment as needed. Promote a positive shopping environment by maintaining cleanliness, organization, and adherence to store policies. Qualifications Prior experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are essential! Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively in both English and bilingual settings is a plus. Familiarity with POS systems, cash register operations, and retail math enhances your ability to perform efficiently. Experience with product demos, upselling techniques, merchandising, and stock management is highly desirable. Demonstrated phone etiquette skills for professional customer interactions over the phone. Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, cashiering procedures, and basic math skills ensures accuracy in transactions.
