About Loopy Wool Loopy Wool is a specialty fibre arts retailer located in Salisbury, New Brunswick. We offer a wide selection of yarns, wool, fibre arts supplies, and creative tools for knitting, crocheting, rug hooking, punch needle, needle felting, spinning, and weaving. We're looking for a friendly, knowledgeable, and dependable Retail Sales Associate to join our small team. The ideal candidate enjoys working with people, has hands-on experience with fibre arts, and is enthusiastic about helping customers find the right materials for their creative projects. Key Responsibilities Welcome customers and provide friendly, knowledgeable service. Assist customers in selecting projects, yarns, wool, tools, and other fibre arts supplies. Demonstrating all types of fibre art including rug hooking, punch needle and needle felting. Answer questions about yarn weights, fibre content, patterns, and basic crafting techniques. Process purchases and operate the point-of-sale system. Receive, unpack, price, and organize merchandise. Restock shelves and maintain attractive product displays. Keep the retail space clean, organized, and welcoming. Assist with inventory management and other daily store operations. Work collaboratively with other team members to provide a positive customer experience. Qualifications Required: Hands-on experience with at least one fibre art, such as rug hooking, punch needle, knitting, crocheting, felting, spinning, or weaving. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. A friendly, patient, and customer-focused attitude. Good organizational skills and attention to detail. Reliability and the ability to work independently and as part of a small team. Willingness to learn about new products and fibre arts techniques. Preferred: Previous retail or customer service experience. Familiarity with different yarn weights, fibre types, and crafting tools. Experience reading patterns or helping others with fibre arts projects. Knowledge of multiple fibre arts techniques. What We Offer A welcoming and creative work environment.
