Retail Sales Associate – Smoke & Vape Shop

Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting products that meet their needs, providing detailed product demos when necessary Operate the cash register accurately, handling retail sales transactions, cash handling, and cash drawer management with precision Upsell complementary products and promote special offers to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales Handle retail store operations including POS (Point of Sale) systems, inventory management, and stock replenishment Store Maintenance & Cleanliness: Keep the shop clean, organized, and inviting by sweeping, vacuuming, dusting shelves/displays, and taking out all trash at the end of every shift. Restocking & Merchandising: Regularly restock the tobacco section, disposable e-cigarettes, and beverage/cooler items to maintain full displays. Product Organization: Organize shelf inventory, front-face products, and ensure glass cabinets and accessories are presentable and accurately priced. Age: Must be 21+ years old (required for handling age-restricted products). Background Check: Must be able to pass a standard criminal background check prior to employment. Work Ethic: Punctual, reliable, and able to work independently or as part of a team. Physical Ability: Ability to stand for long periods, perform light cleaning (vacuuming, dusting, trash removal), and lift product boxes for restocking. Reliable Transportation: Must have reliable personal transportation to guarantee punctual arrival for all scheduled shifts. Flexible Availability: Must be available to work flexible shifts, including weekdays, weekends, and evenings as needed. Qualifications Previous retail sales experience preferred; grocery store experience is a plus due to familiarity with customer service standards Strong communication skills with the ability to explain product features clearly and confidently Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse customer bases effectively Experience with POS systems, cash register operations, and retail math including basic math skills for transactions and inventory counts Demonstrated cashiering skills with attention to detail in cash handling and cash drawer procedures Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising techniques, and stock management practices Supervising experience is advantageous for leadership opportunities within the team Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills to create positive interactions both in person and over the phone Join us to be part of a vibrant retail environment where your enthusiasm makes a difference!
